Data Engineer & Analyst

About the Role

Our team is responsible for the endurance testing activities of our ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicles) and ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) buses worldwide. 

This role focuses on managing and analyzing high-frequency datalogger data collected during both long-term endurance tests and customer field testing. 

You will be the bridge between raw vehicle signals and engineering intelligence, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that enhance vehicle reliability and optimize our global testing processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing high-frequency datalogger data from long-term endurance and customer field tests.
  • Analyze data from vehicles in testing and actual customer operation to evaluate performance and durability under diverse real-world conditions.
  • Refine existing data workflows and define new automated processes to enhance data quality, accessibility, and storage efficiency.
  • Perform foundational data analyses to support engineering teams in interpreting endurance test results and technical performance trends.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to present key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
  • Partner with global engineering teams to identify relevant use cases and deliver tailored data solutions for operational environments.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Natural Sciences, or a comparable field with a strong focus on Data Science and Information Technology.
  • Experience with data engineering and analytics tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Spark).
  • Familiarity with modern BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with automotive testing environments and datalogger systems (e.g., CAN bus data) is a significant plus.
  • Ability to translate complex engineering needs into technical data solutions.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities and fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel and the ability to adapt to new circumstances and international cultures at short notice.
