Design Engineer for Customer Special Request in R&D Bus

Job Description:
- Design and development of Low & Raised Floor bus Body-in-White and exterior components, segments and scopes, taking function, material, manufacturing techniques, cost and feasibility aspects in consideration.
- Design, development and final release of Body-in-White and exterior customer special requests of Low & Raised buses within time, accuracy, completeness and efficiency targets
- Carrying out initial technical assessment of customer special requests, optimization ideas and technical change requests of related departments for current vehicle models in coordination with experts from all locations (MBT, Mannheim, Neu Ulm)
- Cross location support and cooperation for development of customer special requests with relevant areas in all locations (MBT, Mannheim, Neu Ulm, Holysov, Ligny, etc.).
- Participation in supplier visits, if necessary
Qualifications:
- University degree (BSc./MSc./Dipl-Ing.) Mechanical Engineering. Specialization in vehicle technology/construction is an advantage
- Knowledge and experience in design of automotive components and products.
- Proficiency in CAD Systems (Siemens NX), SAP and MS Office applications.
- Analytical thinking, result oriented, strong interpersonal and communication skills, a good team player
- Good command of English and German both written and spoken
- Completed military service for male applicants.
- No travel restrictions.
