What you can expect:

• As a Data Engineer in Product Development Mercedes-Benz Trucks, you translate customer requirements into the language of product development. You are the linking pin between product development and production by ensuring that the technical scope meets the prerequisites of production. 
• For all other departments along the value chain, your data a decisive basis. You create the conditions for every component, no matter how small, to find its place in the truck.
• As an expert in Product Data Engineering, you create the mapping of the global Mercedes-Benz Trucks product portfolio in digital data. In our team, we generate product documentation for future products, such as Zero Emission vehicles.  
• In close cooperation with the designer, you create the digital structures for new technological scopes. You plan the variance of the components in the overall product, the truck. You will support the product development teams in the local and global Mercedes-Benz Trucks product projects with the creation of your documentation concepts.
• You are responsible for the timely and documentation-compliant data structure for all components in Chassis / Cabin/ Mechatronic. You carry out the geometric validation of the product and thus contribute to ensure the quality and consistency of the digital and physical product.
• For the product projects in your scope of responsibility, you execute the tracking of our Product Data Engineering content, present this in the project meetings and thus make an important contribution to ensure adherence to deadlines. You identify and analyze deviations and proactively propose remedial measures.
• You actively participate in the continuous development and introduction of new systems and processes in context of Product Data Engineering.  You describe new system requirements, design their development and accompany them until to their implementation in a global context with the partners of other organizational units.

• You have successfully completed your studies with a focus on informatics, mechanical engineering, mechatronic engineering or industrial engineering
• You have extensive knowledge of the product development process, data engineering and commercial vehicle technology
• You are characterized by pronounced intercultural competence, teamwork skills and business fluent German and/or English skills
• You are pragmatic, communicative and convince with a confident appearance and good presentation techniques
• You desire to be innovative with a good sense for customer benefit
• You are self-employed and have a pronounced problem-solving competence
