R&D Engineer for Frame Attachments & HV Integration

What You Can Expect:

• Responsible for design, integration and release of the frame attachment parts such as thermocover, battery carriers, fender, fender brackets etc.

• Responsible for HV Integration in ZEV Projects • Identify proper materials, tolerances, finishes, fasteners, and production methods for new designs

• Creating specification book and validation plan for the components.

• Planning and tracking all development steps from the idea to the finished part.

• Changing existing components according to technical requirements and/or financial advantages, working out change requests originating from quality issues, cost reduction ideas, etc.

• Participation in global projects and cooperation with related departments within the global development network of the Daimler Trucks (DAG, Brazil, China etc.).

 

That’s Why You Are a Match:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering. 3-5 years of experience in the fields of product development/documentation

• Fluent in English (German is an advantage). Experience in 3D component design. Experience with Siemens NX, Engineering Client (SAFIRA, Smaragd etc.).

• Ability to work in fast environment with changing priorities and tight timelines required

• Must be well-organized, able to handle multiple, detailed tasks, and work professionally with various levels of management preferred.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Willing to learn new topics and new systems.
