Job Overview:

 

As an E/E System and Component Development Engineer, you'll be the one who keeps the world moving to shape the future of our bus technology globally. Your role involves designing, testing, and implementing EE Safety/Comfort systems and components that power our buses.

 

Job Description

 

  • Development of System and Components globally such as:
    • Comfort/Safety Systems: VIEW, Passenger Services, Passenger Information System, etc.
    • Comfort/Safety Components: Window Adjuster, Steeringwheel arrangement,  etc.
    • related customer specific requirements
  • Managing the features, development of system specifications, review and further developing the system features.
  • Requirement and validation engineering for the future buses in system, vehicle and component level, respecting to functional safety ISO 26262.
  • Approve SW/HW releases for the products, participate in PPAP, define test concepts and test specifications for the product.
  • Coordination with various stakeholders e.g. E/E system partners, purchase, logistics, Quality, Aftersales for product development.
  • Creation, control and maintenance of the product development schedule taking into consideration the process milestones of the vehicle development with respect to agile methodology.
  • Having chance to participate SAFe/Agile methodology 
  • Create/Maintain product specification documents appropriate for the vehicle lines and distribution/clarification of the same with the development stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities e.g. product documentation, error management, release management during development process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and future technologies for bus E/E systems.
  • Work independently and meet deadlines. Proactively inform management of project issues, delays and risks.
  • Benefit from the opportunity of hybrid working.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Plan and drive Task force activities as required.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in electric/electronic engineering, mechatronic or industrial software engineering or equivalent
  • Previous Automotive OEM or Tier1 supplier work experience of several years in the automotive industry and inter-connected electronic systems, software development techniques and languages (e.g. LogiCAD or similar )
  • Prior experience leading projects, swarms, or other cross-functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced innovative environment
  • Strong Knowledge on vehicle electric/ electronics/mechatronics and product development processes, CAN/LIN BUS communication and methods and tools.
  • Must be well organized, able to handle multiple, detailed tasks, and work professionally with various levels of tasks
  • Preferably a good knowledge of English and German
  • Strong project management skills, especially for coordinating with other teams, ensuring that system requirements are met, and managing timelines.
  • Experience with safety standards related to electrical systems and onboard services, ensuring that the systems meet both regulatory and operational standards.
  • Good communication skills for working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and customer focused mindset.
  • A solid understanding of problem-solving and troubleshooting, particularly when dealing with system-level failures or integration issues.
  • You like to work in an international team and to travel to other global locations in the development network.
