Why You Matter in This Role

As a SAP MM/EDI Consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, enhancement, and continuous development of SAP Material Management and Electronic Data Interchange solutions within Daimler Buses ’s global IT landscape. By working closely with international business stakeholders, Centers of Competence, and technical teams, you will contribute to efficient procurement and logistics processes while supporting strategic transformation initiatives, including S/4HANA projects. Your expertise will help deliver reliable, integrated, and future-ready SAP solutions across global operations. 

What you can expect

• Provide functional consulting and support for SAP MM/EDI solutions within the global Extended Center of Competence (eCoC) organization.
• Support existing SAP MM and SAP EDI applications through incident analysis, troubleshooting, and effective problem resolution.
• Analyze business requirements and implement new functionalities, enhancements, and process improvements.
• Take responsibility for implementation, rollout, and upgrade projects, including S/4HANA transformation initiatives.
• Define technical and functional requirements and coordinate unit, integration, and system testing activities.
• Collaborate with module experts and business stakeholders across Europe to ensure high-quality solution delivery.
• Represent SAP MM/EDI in cross-functional integration activities involving other SAP modules, particularly SD.
• Work closely with project managers, business users, and development teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with SAP and external service providers on technical topics and system improvements.
• Ensure high-quality documentation, knowledge sharing, and compliance with established IT standards.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM functional configuration and solution design.
• Knowledge of SAP EDI processes and integrations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international teams.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in German.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a global environment.
  

Nice to Have

• Good command of English.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
• Basic knowledge of additional SAP modules, especially SAP SD&FI.
• Experience within automotive, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
• Previous experience working within an international Center of Competence (CoC) organization.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based support and incident management processes.
