Why you matter in this role
As part of our Foreign Trade team, you will join a dynamic and forward-thinking environment where compliance, risk management, and data-driven decision-making come together to shape robust international trade operations. Beyond executing controls and monitoring regulations, you will actively analyze cost drivers, identify optimization opportunities, and contribute to continuous process improvement. You will challenge existing practices, drive efficiency, and create tangible business impact. As a key contributor, you will collaborate across functions, bring your expertise into complex trade matters, and support the evolution of our global customs and compliance practices.
What you can expect
- Implement and execute ICS controls, perform checks, identify gaps, and support their resolution to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Responsible for the AEO Annual Activity Report process, including accurate data-based analysis, consolidation, and validation of findings; follow up on corrective actions and ensure process improvement.
- Perform declarations of customs value-related costs and coordinate with Tax and Accounting departments. Monitor changes in customs and other related legislation on a daily basis, analyze their implications on company processes, and ensure that necessary measures are implemented to comply with legal requirements.
- Support team members and other departments in situations requiring specific and in-depth customs expertise; respond to internal and external queries, including document requests, official notifications, and penalty letters.
- Prepare and analyze periodic reports in Excel and Power BI, as well as management presentations on customs and foreign trade transactions.
That’s why you are a match
Required
- University and/or masters degree
- Very good knowledge of and personal interest in customs & foreign trade legislation
- Excellent MS Excel and Power Point
- Fluent in English
- Team player with high verbal & written communication, guidance and coordination skills
- Ability to find alternative solutions and facilitate solution-oriented decision taking in group discussions
- Analytic thinking, strong time management skills, disciplined, ability to closely follow up topics against deadlines and to take initiative
Nice to Have
- Customs broker license is preferred
- Experience in using SAP is a plus
- German language proficiency is a plus
- Interest in AI technologies and reporting solutions
- Knowledge of Power BI would be an advantage
