Job Description:

• Analysis of extensive complex technical topics, in the areas of software, operating system, autonomous driving, HMI, connectivity and electric drives, with structured evaluation – with the help of the existing search tools (Orbit)
• Coordination of the research/analysis requirements with the corresponding technical experts from the specialist departments; close collaboration with our patent professionals
• Performing in-depth patent analyses/searches in technical areas on invention disclosures and innovations as part of the development process (e.g. CVDS) using internationally available patent databases and AI-supported systems
• Communication with inventors concerning technical details and patentability
• In the case of non-filing: self-reliant processing of invention disclosures
• Support the department’s employees in using existing Search and IP management systems.
• Development and evaluation of existing IT systems. Strategic positioning of the department with regard to new IT concepts.
• Management and control of projects for the new introduction, further development or use of systems and tools
• Conducting or coordinating searches for patent appeal, utility model deletion, infringement, invalidity proceedings and statement on relevance and prospects of success
• Compilation and preparation of information on intellectual property portfolios (e.g. third-party IP strength) in order to prepare competitive analyses and to determine one’s own intellectual property position

The position is located in İstanbul, but the candidate will be directly work for Daimler Truck AG in Germany to support worldwide.

Qualifications:

• Education/training: A degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or mechanical engineering
• Experience and specific knowledge: A deep technical understanding for automotive related technologies, e.g. electric drives, autonomous driving, H2 technology.
• Basic IT knowledge and technical competence and knowledge of database management, application administration, connection of internet-based services and ideally also basic knowledge in the area of intellectual property / patents.
• Language: Very good spoken and written English.
