Why you matter in this role

As a National Category Lead for the Procurement of Non-Production Material & Services, you will be part of a dynamic, diverse and idealistic team directly reporting to the headquarters in Germany and aiming to continuously set new global best practices with passion and creativity. As part of the Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. Non-Production Material Purchasing Team, beyond merely creating savings, you'll be deeply involved with jointly shaping and tailoring business needs, questioning the status quo and creating true business impact.

As a valued individual of the global purchasing organization, by bringing in your ideas and competence, you will also have the chance to play an active role in shaping the future of the global Non Production Material Purchasing function.

 

What you can expect:

  • Managing tenders, auctions and supplier communication in alignment with the global & local process requirements
  • Finding creative methods for negotiating with the suppliers to optimize price, quality, terms & conditions
  • Understanding the business and creating added value through a co-creation mindset
  • Establishing, managing and tracking contracts, ensuring that our compliance and integrity standards are met
  • Solving problems by communicating with all relevant stakeholders, playing the role of moderator/facilitator to enable progress
  • Through open and positive communication and direct feedback, actively contributing to our joint effort of creating a great working environment

 

That’s why you’re a match:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree from a relevant discipline
  • Negotiation-level English both written and spoken / German is an asset
  • Good level of MS-Office skills, advanced Excel knowledge is an asset
  • You have strong communication, persuasion and analytical skills
  • General procurement experience including contract management is an asset
  • You are a self-disciplined, self-learner who likes to plan ahead
  • You are a critical thinker and intuitively think outside the box
  • You have an eye for the big picture, feel motivated to work independently and take the initiative whenever necessary
  • Experience with and interest in going deep on negotiation strategy/design and game theory
