What You Can Expect:

• Prepare customs declarations by using related software, ensure the 4-eyes principle check, electronically sign the declarations (e-signature) and send them to Ministry of Trade
• Represent Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. at Customs and related official authorities in scope of customs clearance activities according to legislation, international trade agreements, company policies and procedures
• Gather/prepare documents & information necessary for the customs declaration (such as goods & freight invoices, insurance policy, customs tariff classification, etc.)
• Perform / follow up payment of customs duties and taxes and follow up whole process until declaration is closed
• Check the duties, taxes and related expenses and submit to accounting department including necessary approvals
• Archive customs declarations and other documents (physical / electronical
• Prepare and follow up periodical customs direct filing reports, respond to official & internal queries in his/her area of responsibility
• Coordinate all related internal and external parties in scope of Customs Direct Filing

That’s Why You Are a Match:

• University degree in Foreign Trade and/or Business Administration, Economics, Political Sciences, or equivalent departments
• Experience in preparation of customs declarations by using related software programs
• Minimum 5 years of experience in customs & foreign trade area
• Customs Brokerage or Deputy Customs Brokerage license
• Knowledge about logistics processes
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and/or German
• Advanced knowledge in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Power BI knowledge is an asset
• Detail oriented, well-organized, proactive, resilient, self-motivated, team player, good communication and coordination skills
