Colleagues

We are a big team with more than 7.000 colleagues in 3 different campuses and 2 plants.

In order to create a peaceful and healthy working environment in which each of our teammates enjoys being, we have social areas, cafeterias and gardens in all our locations where we can take a short break and take a breather while working.

We value the physical, psychological and social well-being of our employees. In our MBFit well-being program, we have implemented a digital application with the research of our volunteer colleagues. With our MBFit application, we can organize unlimited online sessions with psychologists, dietitians and sports trainers, and benefit from many services ranging from social clubs to webinars and discount opportunities. In addition, we provide Health Service & Workplace Doctor service for daily health problems that all our colleagues may experience at work. We create many opportunities not only for our colleagues, but also for their children. Every year during the semester and Summer holidays, we organize Summer /Winter Sports Schools for our children between the ages of 7 and 10.

We made flexibility permanent for our colleagues in the office! We were implementing the remote and flexible working model before the pandemic. Since the first day of the pandemic, all our possible functions continue to work remotely. And then we said, what about after! As a result of our internal surveys, we decided to switch to a hybrid working model that differs according to the working types of the functions. This year and all the coming summers, we work remotely for 4 months in all functions that the work allows. We protect our work-life balance.

With our MBFit Wellbeing Program, we support the psychological, physical and social wellbeing of our colleagues. With MBFit; our colleagues can make online appointments with experts, there is the opportunity of unlimited dietitian, psychologist and sports instructor sessions. We keep our bodies healthy and vigorous with our dietitian and sports trainer meetings. We meet with our colleagues in different challenges, from taking steps to drinking water so that we care about our health with bucked competitions.

We can have unlimited number of meetings with expert psychologists in our MBFit well-being program. We continue to improve ourselves in our free time with blog posts and video content that provide tips not only for our business life, but also for our family and social life. We empower ourselves with a wide variety of content from parenting attitudes to habit formation.

We do not limit our psychologist support only to our colleagues. It is also important for us that our first-degree relatives can also benefit from this support.

In our MBFit webinars, which we organize with expert psychologists on different topics every month, we take a short break from our workday and get information about the topics we are curious about.

We organize sports tournaments and various cultural activities in our multi-purpose indoor sports halls, football and basketball courts. We support our colleagues to be healthy and happy individuals outside of work with our gyms, pilates and zumba classes in all our locations.

In our Aksaray and Istanbul campuses, we have 4 health services that provide protection and improvement to the health of us, taking into account the risks of working conditions. We protect the health of our colleagues in many areas from pre-employment examinations, emergency interventions to trainings..

Did you know that our library in Hoşdere has more than 7,500 books and 10 different periodicals? All of our colleagues can access publications in English and German from our library, which has a wide range of subjects such as world and Turkish literature, personal development, history, computers, hobbies, children's books, etc.

In our library in Aksaray, 716 technical and 161 personal development publications, more than 1,200 books, publications, catalogs and user manuals on a wide range of subjects are waiting for our colleagues!

In addition to our annual leaves, we are with our loved ones on special occasions and milestones that are meaningful to us with our social leaves such as marriage leave, maternity leave, breast-feeding leave, paternity leave.

Townhall: We Are Always Together

In our "Townhall" events, where we are informed about important developments and have fun while learning, we come together to learn timely and sufficient information about the developments in the company and the sector from the most authorized person.

Team Buildings

In our Departmental Team Buildings events, we travel to different historical and touristic places of our country as a team, and we come together physically outside of work with fun activities and develop our ability to work together, communicate and think strategically. In team games, we have an enjoyable experience as a team by bringing together our cooperation, creativity and fun.

MB Talks: We Share Knowledge

We gather online in "MB Talks" sessions, where colleagues at all levels share their hobbies and interests. From perfume to financial investing, from sailing to sky photography, we share on many different topics. From motorcycles to guitars, from sailing to collecting coins, we love to learn and grow from each other in conversations where we talk about our different hobbies.

Get Together Meetings

We organize our "Get Together" meetings where our colleagues ask our inspiring leaders what they wonder about their career and social lives. We get to know each other closely in our meetings that take place in a conversational atmosphere.

Social Responsibility: Yıldız Eller

We carry out many social responsibility projects with our Yıldız Eller group founded in 2010 by our volunteer colleagues. We have been maintaining this project with excitement for years and it grows more and more every year. We aimed to make children happy with wish trees, become stem cell donors, send notebooks to schools and build libraries.

Winter & Summer Sports Schools

We have been organizing the Mercedes-Benz Türk Sports School for the children of our colleagues for many years in order to support their development and ensure that they have a productive time during the winter semester break and summer vacation. Our participating children take part in sports and physical activities such as soccer, volleyball, basketball and dance and also have the opportunity to play various games and make new friends.

We also have fun together outside the office with more than twenty active hobby and sports clubs!

Thanks to our open office culture, we have the opportunity to meet and mingle not only with our group mates, but also with as many people as possible. Thanks to our orientation program, our new colleagues get to know the company and the brand closely, and also have the chance to get detailed information about activities and current projects. We also inform them about occupational health and safety, quality and environmental management. With our Extended Orientation Program, we support them to better adapt to the company with processes designed to not only work areas but also all processes and colleagues closely.

Our 13 volunteer managers from different departments provide training to spread the feedback culture within the company. The performance and potential management system in our company consists of processes that aim to identify and develop employee performance, leadership behaviors, competencies and potential.

We implement the performance and potential management system GLB (Great Leadership Behavior), for our office teams, which is used globally at all Daimler Truck AG locations.

GLB starts with setting goals at the beginning of the year, followed by half-year evaluations, measurement of the achievement of the goals for the previous period at the end of the year, and performance and potential evaluation within the framework of our 12 global leadership behaviors. The most important step of the process is the manager-employee meetings. In these meetings, the career development plan is determined and how the current development steps can be implemented are discussed, and the outputs are recorded on the system. The results of the entire process provide input to salary management, career and back-up plans.

We support functional, professional and technical development needs focused on different business areas and specializations with online learning tools, virtual classroom trainings, on-site applications and faculty programs. We update the titles and contents of the general technical trainings in our catalog (project management, agile working, MS Tools, artificial intelligence, etc.) in line with global trends and technological developments.

With the aim of increasing our competent workforce as a company, we offer high quality technical trainings on products and processes to our production field and office colleagues, interns and all relevant sector employees in our Technical Training Centers in our Human Resources department operating in both our Istanbul and Aksaray locations. In our centers consisting of 14 workshops in Istanbul, 6 workshops and 4 laboratories in Aksaray, we provide approximately 110,000 hours of technical training to approximately 1,000 people every year with more than 30 technical training topics.

In addition to personal development and professional competency programs that we organize in a wide range of training methods such as distance learning, workshops, conferences, interviews, classroom training, etc., we offer executive/managerial candidate development programs specialized for the needs of our company.

Through our mentorship programs, we learn from each other, share our knowledge and skills, and support our culture of continuous learning. We bring our young talents together with experienced professional colleagues in many areas such as the Stars of Engineering and our PEP Long-Term Internship Program.
