Management of Diversity

Since 2008, we have been working extensively on diversity within the framework of "Diversity Management". The center of Daimler Truck AG sets numerical targets for the number of female employees in management positions and monitors these targets on a country basis. In addition, we implement gender equality at the highest level through the internationally recognized "Global Compact," "Social Responsibility Principles" and the "Code of Conduct" which is published within the company.

Various Projects and Collaborations

Every year, within the scope of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy, we carry out many projects addressing different topics. We emphasize the power of embracing diversity and co-production by addressing different issues such as gender, age, disability and culture. Our colleagues are part of a community that promotes diversity, as they come from different countries and have diverse experiences.

Diversity and Social Responsibility

We demonstrate the importance we attach to the power of diversity not only through our internal processes, but also through our social responsibility activities. We believe that a work environment where people can live as themselves increases motivation and empowers people. We foster a working environment based on respect for ethnicity, age, language, faith, gender, sexual identity and orientation. Our diversity strengthens us by bringing together different experiences, skills and perspectives.

All companies within Daimler Truck AG have a Diversity Representative to support our work on diversity, equity and inclusion. Our Diversity Representative actively works to create a working environment where differences are valued and equal opportunities are offered.

Mercedes-Benz Türk was awarded the Equal Opportunity Model (FEM) Certificate by the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Türkiye (KAGİDER), which is given to companies that implement a gender equality approach in processes such as recruitment, training and career planning. We take women's empowerment in working life with great sensitivity and in this context, we contribute to social responsibility projects that support women's education and personal development in society. We also collaborate with various non-governmental organizations to support the empowerment of women in business life.

We operate in a business environment with four generations of employees and maintain a network of five generations, including the children of our employees. We see this diversity as a richness and use it as an opportunity to learn from each other.
