Why you matter in this role

In this role, you are at the core of developing and delivering robust diagnostic solutions for Daimler Buses worldwide. By taking responsibility for the diagnosis application and software development, you enable effective trouble‑shooting, functional checks, activations, and initial startup of electronic control units and vehicles across global markets.

Your contribution is critical in shaping the technical and conceptual design of diagnostic systems, ensuring they meet both current and future requirements. Through the implementation of diagnostic software in new projects, the adaptation of serial changes, and the timely correction of issues, you help safeguard system reliability and product quality.

By preparing diagnostic tools and test benches, verifying diagnostic data through simulation, bench testing, and vehicle validation, and closely coordinating requirements with international process partners, you directly support innovation, operational excellence, and a seamless customer experience worldwide. 

What you can expect

• Diagnosis Application responsible
• Software development to realize trouble-shooting, functional checks, activations and initial startup of the electric control units and vehicles for Daimler Buses worldwide
• Definition and support for the technical and conceptual design of the diagnostics in Daimler Buses
• Implementation of diagnostic software in new projects, adaptation of serial changes and correction of issues  Preparation of the tools and test benches for the diagnostics
• Verification of the diagnostic data with simulation methods, on test benches and in vehicles
• Definition, determination and coordination of the requirements together with the international process partners.

That’s why you are a match

Required

• Engineering (focus EE, Software, Mechatronics, Testing), B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in information technology, software engineering, electric/electronic engineering or similar degree
• Experience of several years in the automotive industry and inter-connected electronic systems
• A distinctive experience in software development techniques and languages (e.g. C/C++, Matlab&Simulink) knowledge on vehicle electronics/-mechatronics and processes, methods and tools
• Good knowledge of English both written and spoken
• Good communication skills and customer orientation
• Ability to work in team and high motivation
• No travel restrictions.

• German is an asset.
