Sanction checks are an essential part of our Compliance management system, ensuring our worldwide business is always in line with relevant sanction regimes. Hundreds of thousands of customers, business partners and individuals all over the world need to be screened on a permanent basis.
Your role is to support our central Clearing team in analyzing and evaluating potential hits – data entries that are being flagged by our monitoring system but require verification. We need to examine these cases, match our internal data with sanction list data and determine whether business with these parties can be concluded or needs to be stopped.
The position is located in İstanbul, but the candidate will be directly work for Daimler Truck AG in Germany to support worldwide.
Your Tasks in Detail:
1.Sanction list checks – hits clearing:
- When a screening creates a match, you assess the accuracy – is it a genuine hit or a so-called “false positive”? Some cases will require you to access additional resources for investigation.
- In contentious cases, you coordinate with local business functions to clarify data.
- You identify patterns of false positives for continuous improvement of our search engine.
2. Reporting:
- You develop and create reports, analyses, and statistics in relation to Sanction checks.
3. Communication:
- You communicate regularly with the central team in Germany for status updates, process improvements, escalation of critical topics Trucks & Buses – Sanctions Screening & Analysis
Qualifications:
- Degree in law, economics, or business informatics with legal knowledge
- Experience and specific knowledge:
- Professional experience in Compliance, Audit or another relevant function for 1-4 years
- Basic knowledge of American, European and other relevant sanction regimes.
- Experience with data analysis; experience with screening processes is a plus.
- IT skills:
- Very good MS Office skills.
- Affinity for the digitalization of processes.
- Experience with SAP, data analytics, big data are welcome.
- Language skills:
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
- German skills are a plus.
- Personal skills:
- Analytical mindset.
- Independent, self-reliant way of working as well as flexibility and commitment.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention for detail.
