Senior Financial Analyst – Service Contract Controlling position involves remotely managing service contract controlling for various Truck Operating Centers, under the functional leadership of Service Contract Controlling based in Stuttgart/LE. The role requires flexibility in handling multiple interfaces involving business partners in local markets and at headquarters, as well as with various IT systems. Additionally, the position includes coordinating cross-functional topics with Spare Parts Headquarter, IT departments, and local market controllers to ensure alignment of financial processes and system interfaces.
The position is located in İstanbul, but the candidate will be directly work for Daimler Truck AG in Germany.
Job Description:
Methodical Support for Service Contract System ( NEMESİS):
- Upload error log lists per market
- Analyse errors related to source systems and interfaces
- Create tickets for issues
- Forward data corrections to business partners
- Conduct plausibility checks on NEMESIS calculations (e.g. revenue deferrals, recognition, and provisions)
- Initiate escalation process if error handling through tickets does not resolve the issue
- Coordinate with IT and Spare Parts Headquarter to align on system improvements and ensure consistent data flow across platforms
Interface Error analysis and coordination for errors not part of error log list:
- Pre-analyzing errors caused by the Service Contract system NEMESIS, including monitoring interfaces to pre-systems and ensuring alignment with IT support teams.
- Coordinating with respective teams in the markets to ensure interface discrepancies are addressed and resolved.
- Facilitate alignment meetings with IT and Spare Parts Headquarter to resolve recurring interface issues and define long-term solutions
Tracking and Reporting Service Contract Results:
- Track and report monthly service contract results for Truck Operating Centers
- Provide an overview of total result actuals and plan
- Analyse deviations compared to the previous year and planning
- Prepare KPI reports to provide transparency about profitability
- Summarize recommendations based on identified issues on deviation analysis
- Coordinate with local controllers and Spare Parts Headquarter to validate financial results and ensure consistency in KPI reporting across markets
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Information Technologies with a focus on Business Administration, Accounting or Informatics.
- Proven background in Controlling or Accounting, as well as business data processing and data analysis.
Experience:
- Strong background in IFRS/Accounting and Controlling
- Deep understanding of accounting processes and their impact on financial results
- Proficient in month-end close procedures using SAP/FI-CO.
- Skilled in process optimization methods
- Demonstrate ability to manage system improvements projects on process development
- Adept at financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of KPI reports.
- Experienced in coordination with IT teams to address system interface issues
- Solid understanding of the financial impacts of service contracts.
- Solid understanding of IT Landscapes and their interfaces, as well as their ability to collaborate with IT teams to analyse and solve problems
- Comfortable working in an internation environment and collaborating with different subsidiaries
IT-Skills:
- Advanced MS Office Skills: MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, Power BI
- Proficiency Cofico
Language Skills:
- Business fluent in English and German
